Rosa married Walter Henry Eastman 01 June 1936 in this church. Their wedding was reported in detail in the North Devon Journal as was all her Seatherton siblings) She was born Rosa Mary (not May) Seatherton 21 Feb 1913 in Poughill where father William was working for about 10 years. (She had a sister who was May - Winifred May - who married James Harris in Atherington too - but it doesn't appear they were buried here). Rosa's mother was nee Jessie Gratton born 31 Dec 1876 in South Molton, dau of John Gratton and Emma Quick whose roots went back to mid1700's in Brushford, Somerset. (the writer's family). William was an only child 1910 of Henry and Minnie Louisa, nee Rendell who was born in Instow. She died unexpectedly at North Devon Infirmary in Barnstaple and a long and detailed obit appears in the North Devon Journal. Walter died in Wiltshire - brought back to his home village for burial.
