Dubois joined the French Resistance in Grenoble; but continued his studies in chemistry at the same time. From 1947-48 he was attached to the French Embassy in london and als contunued his studies at University College London. In 1949 he became professor of chemistry at Saarbruck University; and Dean of the Faculty in 1953. In 1957; he returned to France; and became a pionner of the DARC system.
