John Hayward was born in Little Witley Worcestershire 1858, the son of James Hayward and Sarah Hayward (nee Knowles). He was a carpenter and worked for most of his life in Powick Asylum. He lived in Powick and on retirement lived in Worcester. He died 20th May 1934. he had four children with Emma: Kate, Celia, Ernest and Edith.
