Bennet Woodcroft is the paternal grandfather of the wife (Frances Mary Hammond) of my great uncle Charles Henry Cross. Frances Mary's father, Henry Woodcroft Hammond, was the illegitimate son of Bennet Woodcroft, as I have documented (on a family tree on Ancestry.com).
