Please check relationship quoted on the transcript. Although the stone is difficult to read, it appears to show that Herbert was the son of John & hannah Garrod, not Deborah. He was therefore Deborah's brother, not her son. This seems reasonable, as I believe that Deborah was in her early teens (c15 yrs) when she died.
