Edward was a farmer of some 330 acres in the Gribthorpe/Bubwith area. He and Jane had five children, three sons and two daughters including Mary who is named on the gravestone. All three sons became farmers in their own right, including the youngest John ( my great grandfather) who farmed at Millington Pastures near Pontefract until Rheumatoid Arthritis forced him to go into business in Ashton-under-Lyne in Lancashire.
