Lt Alexander Ronaldson was born on 15 Oct 1894, in Pulteney-town, Wick, Caithness. He was killed in action at the Kink Front on 9 Jun 1916, serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 10th Service Battalion of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). He was buried at the Vermelles British Cemetery, Vermelles, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France (Plot III, D, 20). Before joining the Army, he served an apprenticeship at the British Linen Bank in London.
