Martha, daughter of Joseph and Martha Coram, was baptised on 14 December 1817 at Bow, Nymet Tracy, Devon. She married Henry Mead in 1840 at St Mary's Church, Hennock, Devon. They had 3 sons and 7 daughters. She must have died between 1871 and 1881 as she is alive in the 1871 census but husband Henry is noted as a widower in the 1881 census. Their eldest son John Edwin's death was registered in Barnstable in 1881.
