Thomas Hall was born in High Offley, Stafford on 4th March 1830. He was baptised on 28th March 1830 at High Offley. He is listed as the son of Richard (a labourer) and Mary Hall, High Offley. He married Ann Titley at Shifnal Parish Church on 6th May 1850. The wedding certificate said Thomas Hall, minor, batchelor, brickmaker of Hollinswood, son of Richard Hall, brickmaker married Ann Titley, minor, spinster of Mumphon Hill, daughter of Richard Titley, Collier. Both signed the register with an X. The witnesses to the marriage were Henry Tooler and Mary Tooler. The 1851 census for Shifnal (Snedshill) shows them lodging in the house of Martha Fletcher (pit banker) with Thomas Hall, lodger, married, aged 21 and a furnaceman (born at High Offley, Staffs), and Ann Hall, ledger, married, aged 21, wife (born at Shifnal). The 1861 census shows the family living at 34 Munslow Hill, Shifnal with Ann aged 31, and children John, James and Annie (aged 0) . Thomas worked for the Lilleshall Company for approx 60 years. He died on 26th August 1904 aged 74 in an accident at work. At the time of his death, he was living at Snedshill. The Priorslee Parish Register (1886-1915) burials shows 22nd August 1904 Thomas Hall, Mumphon Hill, Snedshill aged 74 (killed at furnace).
