Most probably David Parkinson was the son of James Parkinson & Elizabeth (nee Hardcastle) baptised 13-Apr-1777 Pateley Bridge. He married Elizabeth Brooks 27-May-1800 at Pateley Bridge. He had a son John b. 1802 and daughter Mary born 1807. Mary married William Cowling 17-Apr-1830 St. Peter's Leeds and died 1837.
