Bertie was born 13th March 1899 in Leeds. He served as KOYLI, Kings Rifles and QVRs in WWI. They had 2 children. My mother Doreen b.1925 and my Uncle Albert b. 1924. Most of my memories of my Grandad was when he worked as a van driver for Thrift Stores at Kirkstall.
