born in 1844 in Pigburn, Brodsworth died on 10 June 1934 aged 90. He was employed as a local gamekeeper. His son Joseph left Thorner and worked (amongst other occupations)as a Railway Signalman. His son John William (my Grandfather) was born at Torside Junction near Glossop.He survived military service in WW1 and lived until the 1960s.
