Lilian May Ward (nee Mickleburgh) was born in 1885 in Norwich. Lilian was the wife of a gamekeeper at Roudham Hall. The inscription - At Rest - on Lilian's headstone is particulary poignant as she worked so hard all her life, in domestic service before her marriage, and then bearing 9 children, 7 of whom lived to adulthood.
