Sarah Jane nee Margerrison was the second wife of Henry Briddon. She was born in May 1846 in Ashover. She worked as a servant in various places before her marriage to Henry Briddon, a widower, almost twice her age. Her first 4 children were born in Pilsley/Edensor on the Chatsworth Estate, probably at the home of her sister, either Fanny or Catherine who had lived there since at least 1864.
