Emma Moyse; the niece of one of the richest men in France (Daniel Iffla-Osiris; buried in Montmartre cemetery ) was a professional singer who at first married a banker. She became the mistress of the composer Gabriel Fauré (also buried in this cemetery. Fauré wrote the 'Dolly Suite' for Emma and her daughter. In 1905 she divorced her husband and married Debussy in 1908. They had one daughter together; Claude-Emma. Debussy dedicated his 6 sonatas for various instruments to Emma. Her cousin was the actress Charlotte Lysès who was the first wife of the actor and playwright Sacha Guitry; also buried in Montmartre.
