She had brothers who had distinguished legal careers in Canada and in Gibraltar; and another having a distinguished career in H. M. Army. Acted as mother to 3 nieces when their mother died. Responsible for donating marble font; now at the west end of north aisle; as a memorial to her Lieutenant-General brother – inscription around base. Married in 1829; . They had no children. Died on 23rd July; and is interred in her husband's burial plot in the East Dormitory; the walled garden outside of the church.
