His mother was Elizabeth DuSAUTOY (born SHENTON) 1769-1834 whose parents were John SHENTON 1720-1777 and Elizabeth CHAWNER 1747-1826. His father was John Abbott Dusautoy who was the son of Pierre Francois Dusautoy (a french prisoner of war) and his wife Mary Abbott. Pierre Francois Dusautoy was born in Givet,around 1731,in France and fought as a youngster in the troupes of Bonnie Prince Charley - who lost his battle in Colluden, Scotland and escaped to France. Pierre tried to get away with other soldiers on a ship, which was brought back to England and he lived as prisoner though with parole d'honneur until he married Mary Abbott.
