Monument lists 1 May 1746 as date of death, although several records and family trees lean to 1 May 1747, burial 5 May 1747 in Clopton. Born: May 1669 Ramsholt, Woodbridge, Suffolk, England. Parents: Father Samuel Jeaffreson (1636-1693), mother still somewhat in doubt; Mary (Pope) Jeaffreson (1648-1693) appears to have been Samuel's 2nd wife, and her 2nd husband, married after 1690. John Jeaffreson married Ann Scott on 2 Oct 1698 in Kettleburgh, Suffolk.
