I've just discovered the new www.operationwardiary.org site and have spend the morning adding digital tags to the Battalion diary of 1/Somerset Light Infantry for January 1917. Captain Prideaux MC's death, as acting Brigade Major,11th Bgd, attached to the 1/SLI was recorded in some detail...killed by shellfire whilst inspecting the Bn's front line, his grave dug by 7 private soldiers and his interment at 1100 hours the next day,with snow falling on it later in the day. Not the first of Our Glorious Dead that I have researched, nor the last. If you could send me the image (it looks like his original wooden grave marker), I would be grateful. Best wishes, David
