Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

James was the son of Peter, who went missing from Bere Regis - not in real life, just in the records that have been available to me for research. Peter was the son of James and Sarah Torevell and was born at Hazelbury Bryan. The family moved to Bere when he was just a boy. Another researcher e-mailed me one day and said he thought he might have found my missing Peter at Sixpenny Handley, Dorset, and by golly there he was with his son James who is the subject of the gravestone. His wife, by the way, was Mary Ann Midgley. Hope this is what you wanted to know. Thanks so very much for this wonderful service. I am delighted to have found your site!
