Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Family History - I am descended from Beecrofts of Armley and have records of 3 generations married at St Peters. I have not yet connected the Beecrofts recorded on this monument, but the fact that three members of the family were buried in the same year may link with something I heard regarding my family. Unfortunately I am unable to volunteer any help with your project as I live in Australia, but I very much appreciate that people like you share your resources.

My family is originally from England. My gr. gr. gr grandfather was in Wellingtons army during the Napoleanic wars, in 1812 he was sent to Canada, upon he discharge in 1814 a spelling mistake occured on his discharge papers. His name was misspelled, instead of it saying George Beecroft it said George Baycroft. He was born on July 15, 1783, and live in Colne, Lancashire. His father was George Beecroft(b.1745 d. 1810) and his mother was Rose (Varley) Beecroft. Beyond that I have no information except that there are plenty of Beecroft's in the York area, so I'm assuming that is were George & Rose are from. There is no records in Colne of either of them being born there or married there.
