Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

As a matter of family history- my g4 grandparents were a Robert Linton and Elizabeth Allan who I am researching. Their son (my ancestor) migrated to Australia in the early 1800s and little information has been passed down on the happenings of those left in the old country. This may provide the link if I can work out the relationship of the people named on the headstone.

I am researching my family in Yorkshire (the Richmond area). As you can see, I carry the same name as it has been handed down. Thank you, Elizabeth Linton Cosgrove Johnson

I am researching the Newsam and Skelly families. I believe the Betty Newsam on the gravestone aged 81y to probably be the mother of Betty Newsam who married Gordon Skelly. Betty the mother died at Pilmore House, Hurworth on Tees, Co Durham, the home of her daughter and son in law. I do not know the connection to the March family. Thank you for providing this very valuable service with these photographic records.
