Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Hi, My Mother was born in Long Marston, Maude Evelyn Wakefield, one of six survivers, daughter of John & Ada Wakefield, they moved to Warick St , then to Heworth Village, York, I still have the property, which was converted into a GreenGrocers shop, second floor ladies hairdresers, I have been a long time trying to find out where they came from, but it looks as though the family lived in Long Marston for about twu hundred years or more, if you can help me in anyway with my reserch I would be most gratefull, Regards, Ray Brown, Wigginton, York.

I am researching the Wright Family Tree (descendants immigrated to Bowen and Cloncurry Queensland Australia). Trying to verify parents of Ann Wakefield who was born in 1781 in Bloomsbury London, died in 1871 St Giles in the Field London, married Samuel Wright. Greatly appreciate your efforts in providing this service. It is wonderful to be able to know where ancestors come from.
