Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am the Historian for 41 Sqn RAF, with which unit Thomas Kean served as a Sergeant Pilot from March 1935 to March 1936. I am compiling biographical details of Thomas Kean's life and RAF career for inclusion of the next volume of my Squadron History. He retired as a Group Captain in 1960 with a CBE, an OBE, and three (!) AFCs. A fascinating man. Contact with his family or any details on his life and career would be appreciated. I am also happy to share the details I have already gathered.
