Blessed with a cheerful and benevolent disposition , he gained the good will and affections of his crew and the friendship of his acquaintance. Whilst from his distant wanderings he communicated to his family when in affliction such Christian consolation as would induce them not to sorrow as those without hope. Thy way is in the sea and thy paths in the great waters and thy footsteps are not known. Psalm 77. In the midst of life we are in death. Watch therefore for ye know neither the day or the hour wherein the Son of Man Cometh. |
