Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I have been trying to trace my great grandfather and great grandmother. I have a copy of my grandfather’s birth certificate (John Allison, b.1871 in Selby). His parents are shown as William Allison (bank manager) & Eliza Allison. If these people are indeed my great grandparents, William died aged 46, a year after the birth of his son John, whilst Eliza lived to be 95. I have nothing yet to prove these are my great grandparents, but the information provided so far would represent a remarkable coincidence were they not.
