Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Thanks for your help. I am completing a Boyd family history, which includes General Sir Hector Macdonald's family. His mother was Ann BOyd b. 1820 in Inverness. She married William Macdonald 9 Jan 1845 in Boleskine, inverness shire, son of William Macdonald and Ann Macrae. I am descended from Ann Boyd's brother William Boyd. I have built up a tree of the family Boyd dating from 1785 with the help of the genealogy dept.& Registrar in Inverness. My finished project will have a copy at the Inverness Highland Family History area of the genealogy centre. I am at the stage of illustrating my project with family pictures. regards from Norma
