Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Trying to research my family tree; the process is new to me! The person named on this headstone is, according to my family, most likely to be my maternal great great grandfather, although it is very unlikely that he is named as such in birth records. However, there is probably a record in legal documents as it was understood by my mother that there was a court case of some kind to seek payment in way of maintenance. I further have been told that this case was reported in the press, because of his association with famous members of the aristocracy. All in all, the sorty is fascinating and it would be very nice to be able to put it all together.

I am the historian of the Whigham Family Association in the United States. David Dundas Whigham is the father of Robert Dundas Whigham and Henry James Whigham. As I continue to collect information of this branch of the family I was excited to find an image to add to our organizations Database. Thank you for your consideration.

I am doing some research around the person of Walter Kennedy Whigham, son of David Dundas Whigham and Ellen Murray Whigham. I have picked up images of the graves of Walter K. and his son Walter H. elsewhere and the one you are offering of his parents' grave would be much appreciated to add to my record. Thank you in anticipation! I shall be happy to e-mail you back in due course!

I'm submitting this repeat request to try to get in touch with the other people who have requested it as you supplied it before you introduced this facility and this seems to be the only way I can do this!
