Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

As an amateur historian of oceanography. Following a visit to Edinburgh last month, where I saw the house in which John Murray spent the last 15 years of his life (Challenger Lodge, Granton), I've begun a study of his time in Edinburgh after returning from the Challenger Expedition (1876). There is no full biography of this important figure. So the immediate reason for my request is to enable me to read the inscription on his tombstone.

Retired biological oceanographer with semi-professional interest in history of oceanography in which John Murray was an iconic figure. Have published quite a bit involving JM but have only recently learned of this service from an ex oceanographer/bookseller friend. Greatly impressed.Have checked the help box but dont think I can do much from Alton in Hampshire where I live! Many thanks in advance
