james paterson bower is my great grandfather. my grandfather was dr bower his son. my mother was catherine st clair bower before she married and became mrs brassington.a lot of the family bits were stored at dr bower stables which i used to play in after my dad had died in 1947.so i have a lot of family history.my other cousion was ursula bower the naga queen who i did speak to back in the 1980s.

I'm researching all the names on a Memorial Board to former pupils of the Royal Naval School who died in the service of their country c.1870-1901. This board is in the vestibule to the Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College. Lt. Bower's name in among them. This image would add more background to a rather terrible story.
