I am researching Hyslops, William Aird Hyslops father and grandfather were instrumental in setting up the coal mining industry in New Cumnock. My friend is doing a project in the Auld kirkyard, New Cumnock, preserving etc, the Hyslop lair is an important piece of the history of New Cumnock.
