Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Louisa Janetta Stowell was the widow of Albert Stoltz (1839-74), ship broker, Leith. He died prematurely and Louisa remarried, but much later. Who her second husband, Stowell, was is a mystery. He might have been W. Stowell of a neighbouring ship broking business. It is unlikely that the grave stone will clarify matters, but I have drawn a blank with the usual ScotlandsPeople channel. I shall certainly acknowledge receipt of any photo. Thank you for your help.

She is a relative. She was born Louise Janetta Jockel, daughter of Christian Jockel of Edinburgh, my great great grandfather. I would be interested to know if any of her daughters have living descendants. I do not know if she remarried or not. Many people of German descent took English names after the first world war, and Stowell is close enough to Stoltz to be such a change. There are a couple of graveyards in Edgworth, Lancashire where I live. Do you need photos of these? Best Wishes Graeme
