Please note that all ages and dates of birth in red have been calculated and are probably not on the monument.

The calculated dates of birth should be treated with caution as in many cases it can be one year out.

The calculated dates of birth should also be treated with caution as the ages given on monuments are often inaccurate.

The names above are all the names that are listed on the grave monument. It is most likely that only the entries with dates and ages are interred in the grave.

Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Part of my Hensman family history. I'm not sure I can be of any help as I live in Sweden.

I am researching my family tree. Hensman is my mother's maiden name and Boswell is one of my ancestors. Yesterday I visited Kemsal Green cemetary in London to see the grave of Boswell's great maiden aunt, Sarah Maria who died in 1971. Sadly , sometimes a grave or memorial is all that is left of an ancestor. An image would be wonderful to have, a concrete link with the past. I hope to visit Edinburgh one day to see it in person. Many thanks, Michael Carroll.

Researching Margaret Luke Kidd who came to U.S.A. in 1888., grandmother of my dad's dear friend. Both Dad and his friend are deceased. Her mother, Johannah Isles', sister is Jane Isles who married James Thomson. Another sister, Janet Isles, who married James Peters, adopted Margaret at age three, after her mother, Johannah, died of consumption. I am just adding records to their records on FamilySearch. I see where Agnes Luke Thomson, born 1848, died when she was 5. She was not on any census after 1851. She had a sister Jane Agnes Luke Thomson, born in October 1853, probably after Agnes died. So many pieces of the puzzle. This cemetery data is extremely helpful!! Thank you!
