John Napier is my G G G Grandfather, George, his son is father to Mary Branch Napier who Married a William Black in 1875, their son John married in 1907 Jane Hopper Gibson ,they had 3 sons including my father John H M Black (b 1911) regards JB

We are researching our family tree and these are the details that correspond with what we know so far. The family migrated to Australia. We have created a family book and are coming to Scotland in December/ January ..2012-2013... want to find the places our great-grandparents have recorded in diaries and hopefully dig deeper. Mary Cumming Napier married James Morrison. Their son, James Napier Middlemiss Morrison and his wife, Margaret Palmer, came to Australia in March, 1874. They are my great-great grandparents. My great-x4-grandmother was Mary Cumming Napier, who lived in a thatched cottage at 5 Haugh Street, Stockbridge(born 1826) :her father was John Napier and mother Helen Napier (nee Walker)...who died in Lauriston in 1858 Mary and her husband James Murray Morrison had a son, my great, great grandfather, John Napier Middlemiss Morrison, who migrated to Australia....where I live.

This is the monument of my great great great grandfather, John Napier. I am descended through his son, Robert, also on the monument. I have a transcript of the diary of John Napier Middlemiss Morrison (born 6 May 1852 and died 20 November 1921. His father James Morrison and mother Mary Morrison (nee Napier) originated from Scotland. They are my GGGrandfather and GGGrandfather respectively.
