I am related to Margaret MacKay, the wife of Samuel Peploe, who I believe is also buried here. The pciture would be of great interest to members of my family. Thank you. Alasdair Macleod

I am curating an exhibition of the work of Samuel John Peploe, to be held at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, who is buried in this family monument. We may wish to illustrate the grave in the exhibition catalogue / bring walking tours to see it.

I am working on the S.J. Peploe exhibition which is due to open at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, and I am curious to see Peploe's grave. Many thanks, Kirstie Meehan

I lost my mother a few years ago when I was 25. She was cremated and as such I have no real place to pay my respects in the manor I would wish. I recently attended a private showing of a Peploe exhibition in Edinburgh - my home city - through which I discovered he was buried very near the gallery. I made a point in my mind of finding his gravestone so I can pay my respects to him and reflect on my own loss at the same time. Nice little site you have here, many thanks in advance for the image - lets hope I can hunt down the original! I have tried twice, at length, and failed! Best, Allan Cruickshank

To whom it may concern, I co-curated the S. J. Peploe retrospective on at the moment at The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. I'd be extremely grateful if you could send me a copy of the picture of the above gravestone (I will request the same for Peploe's father and brother in due course). Many thanks, Rachel
