Edith M Davies				daughter-in-law of George Davies	It seems that Edith M Davies was born in 1885. In 1925 she and her husband, Josiah Hartles Davies who was a gasworks manager in Oswaldtwistle, moved to Southern Rhodesia with their three children, Phyllis Mary Davies born 1912 and Frederick George Davies, born 1915 and died 1980, and Frank Davies, died ? on that journey from Blackwater fever. We understand from our grandmother Edith's account that they had bought a farm. As a result of a tractor accident in 1929, Josiah died leaving Edith with two children and a farm to manage. Phyllis Mary Davies (now Read) lives in Stirling and this month (January 2020) will turn 108 years old. I am one of Edith's grand daughters.
