Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Andrew Davidson was a very fine sculptor during his career. He & his older brother Donald created the firm of D & A Davidson, Monumental Masons based in Inverness. Andrew was responsible for many fine examples of sculptures & war memorials still in existence in Northern Scotland...& the company name tag is found on many MIs in cemeteries in Northern & North Eastern Scotland. I am attempting to document the story for the Clan Davidson Association. There is a major family headstone & MI located in the Old High Church graveyard in central Inverness.
