Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Adam Rolland of Gask is the brother of one of my greatgrandfathers in Dunfermline. I am trying to find out what happened to him. His name was Andrew Rolland and he had two sons Andrew and Thomas. He was older than Adam, but Adam inherited from their father. I have assumed that he died before his father and so the lands passed to Adam. But what happened to the his sons, my relatives. I have a copy of Adam's will but they are not mentioned, it is very difficult to read! I was beginning to wonder if I had made a mistake, but then I read about the left hand stone tablet on the monument being empty and am now encouraged to continue searching.Thank you for your help.Linda
