Resided Potters Farm , Braiseworth. A Rowland (spelling) Charles Hammond of the Royal Engineers (but formerly of the Suffolk Regiment) died at �Home� on 09/09/1917. R C Hammond is buried, under a CWGC headstone, in the cemetery of the old St Mary's church, Braiseworth. Local lore suggests that he died of pneumonia.
