Rev Arthur Llewellyn Curry
1949791870first name on monumentRev. Curry was a collaborator in the periodical 'Eklezia Revuo' (1918-1925), and a prominent early translator of hymn texts into Esperanto. The current standard translation of Heber's 'Holy, holy, holy! Lord God almighty' is a composite based partly on his 1918 translation. He had one other hymn translation in 'Adoru kantante' (1971), and in toto four in 'Himnaro: Unua Kolekto' (ca. 1920).

Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Researching Rev. Curry for the Hymnary.org database (he was an early translator of hymn texts into Esperanto, best known for his version of Heber's "Holy, holy, holy! Lord God almighty!"). Need to confirm spelling of middle name, as my published sources all say "Llewelyn" rather than "Llewellyn". I think the latter is more likely, but my Welsh is weak and I'd like the corroboration the gravestone can provide.
