George Philip was a Free Church Minister, first at Stonehaven, then Union Free, Govan and finally for 37 years at Free St John's Church in Edinburgh. He served the Free Church ministry for 60 years. Alex married Alice Johnston, daughter of Sir William Bacon Johnston of Caskieben. Alice was born in London in about 1847. |
