Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am researching the life of General Sir William Stephen Alexander Lockhart. His sister was Violet Sophia who married Surgeon Major Thomas Maxwell. Violet Sophia was born Inchinnan Scotland 3DEC1831 and died 8FEB1914. Eustace Lockhart Maxwell died 20JUL1916.William Lockhart Maxwell died 7MAR1914. Patrick Maxwell died 15JUN1915. Surgeon Major Thomas Maxwell died 29APR1908. One of Violet and Thomas's sons was Francis Aylmer (Frank) Maxwell VC who served as ADC to Kitchener and fell at the Somme in 1917. Kitchener was god-father to Frank's daughter Rachel. One of Rachel's daughters lives in London and is married to Major General Robert Staveley; the other dtr lives in Dartmouth. I visited Guildford in 2011 but was unable to find the Maxwell family grave. There is a splendid memorial candelabrum to Violet Sophia from the men of an Indian Regiment in St Mary's Church Guildford (of which I did manage to get a photo one day when the church was open).

We are researching our Maxwell line and have got stuck about 5 or 6 generations ago and a Patrick Maxwell is the place that we have got up to and he seems to be playing hard to get. David maxwell

They are my grandparents' family. Eustace Lockhart Maxwell, brother of Francis Aylmer Maxwell VC, is my grandfather.

Trying to find out any details of his life and what lead to his death in Zululand. All his other brothers were in the military but can't find any details of what Patrick did for a living. He disappears after the 1891 census.
