Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I received a few years ago as a gift an antique grandfather clock that was from Scotland. It's fantastically preserved and well over 200 years old. On the hand painted dial is the name Peter Marshall S. Queensferry. Now that I'm retired I'm researching the history of the clock. The high quality image will go nicely with the other information I've been able to gather about its history.

William Jamieson is my fourth great-grandfather. My grandmother was Jane Jamieson McDougall (McKinlay - married name). She was born in 1900 to Mary Williamson McDougall and David McEwing. I am in Ohio, USA.
