Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am a direct descendant of George and Mary Ann Haigh. I have newspaper cuttings that state they lived at Birkby Hall, Thorner and I am trying to trace that dwelling and anything related to enable me to create my family history. Their granddaughter Florence was my Grandmother (my fathers mother). Many of their family lived in the area - Shadwell, Moortown. I have photos of people and places that I am willing to share with any other family members that are found.
