Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Some members of the Mackwood family married members of the Tatham family who descended from the sister of my 3rd gt grandmother. William Watson Mackwood died tragically, as the following confirms: EXTRACTS FROM “List of Inscriptions on Tombstones and Monuments in Ceylon”, by J Penry Lewis C.M.G (Page 317) Old Garrison Cemetery, Kandy Serial No 1188 Nov 22, 1867 WILLIAM WATSON MACKWOOD William Watson Mackwood, of Scarborough, who died at Gampola from injuries received in an accident…..aged 20 years He was alighting from his horse on a clearing on the Galboda estate, when he was transfixed by a stake placed to mark out the ground. I would greatly appreciate an image of his grave, and thank you in anticipation.
