Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Margaret would have been a Grand Daughter of John Darroch who was the last Chaplain in what was then known as Kilmorow in 1692 and now called St. Mael Ruba ruins. Having just been appointed to the Parish of Craignish and the church being in poor condition, he then had built a temporary Church in Soroba and then a permanent one in Ardfern. The reason for the change of location for the church was Ardfern was the population centre of Craignish at that time and still is. He himself set up residence in Corronabeg across a creek from the first church in Soroba. After his passing in 1730, they built a new church, as I understand it on the same site in Ardfern and one of the stones appears to have a date on it. He was son son of Dugald Darroch an important person in the Argyll Church of Scotland and much of him is written in the Synod of Argyll records. Dugald in turn was the son of Mulmorich Darroch also known as Maurice the important Chaplain at Clachan also known as Kilcalmonell as well as in Kilberry which no longer exists. Mulmorich passed in 1632 and his grave stone is still there. I am endeavouring to trace the family to my Great Great Grand Father Archibald who passed in 1862 at Clachan. Additionally John Darroch's mother Aylis Campbell was a daughter of Captain Matthew Campbell of the Skipness Castle and his brother was married to Margaret Campbell the daughter of George Cambell who was a son of Campbell of Craignish. John himself was married to two of the Campbell family as his first wife passed and the dowry he received at the time of his second marriage to Agnes Campbell was 24 cows. I myself live in Canada and can not go there due to Covid 19. I will go as soon as I can. I understand that there are other Darroch family grave stones there on the west side of the Chapel according to a Campbell who saw them in 1946. I do not have a credit card at present so can not send a donation, but would appreciate a picture of the grave stone. Thank You!
