Robert Richard Whittaker born 1879 Skipton, Cracoe, Yorkshire, died 22 May 1930 and was buried here at St. John's in Adel Yorkshire. He was a well respected journalist and dramatist. Son of Robert Whittaker, former schoolmaster in Cracoe, and wife Ann Bassnett. He was the nephew of my great-great grandfather John Whittaker (brother of Robert the Schoolmaster), and I am researching my Whittaker family. Thank you so much for photographing these stones, and providing the images to those of us from across the ocean.

Robert Richard Whittaker was a family member. He was born about 1879 in Skipton, Cracoe, Yorkshire, England, son of Robert Whittaker (1829 to 1912) and wife Ann Bassnett (1840 to 1924). Thank you kindly for your service as it is so very helpful to those of us researching our ancestors.
