Joseph Entwisle was my 3 x great-grandfather, born in Lancashire in 1767 and died in Yorkshire in 1841. Also he is probably mentioned on his wife Mary's gravestone in Cheshire, who died in Macclesfield in 1804, aged only 33, leaving behind 6 of their remaining children. I have been unable to find a parish record for Mary (Pawson) Entwisle.
(requested on 19 04 2012)
It is of my great-great-great-grandfather who was Reverend Joseph Entwisle, senior, Methodist Minister. He was born in Manchester in 1767 on 15th April and died in Tadcaster in 1841, age 73. He was married to Mary Pawson of Thorner, Yorkshire. They had 8 children. (I was Susan Entwisle before I married.) Joseph Entwisle, sen. - Joseph Entwisle, jun.(1798-1864)- William Flamank Entwisle (1838-1892)- Catherine Entwisle (1868-1944)- Thomas Entwisle (1903-1985)
(requested on 21 06 2012)
The Rev. Joseph Entwisle was my Great, Great, etc Grandfather. He was a Baptist Minister at Tadcaster (and all over England). My 18 yo son is in England (from Australia) and I want him to visit the church to see the last resting place of our ancestor. I would like to send the image on to my son for reference. Thank you in advance. Reading below, let me compliment you on your site. It is a great resource and helped me to confirm the location very easily (and excitedly), so I do appreciate what you are doing.
