Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I believe this is the grave of my Great Grandfather killed in a Mining disaster in seaham No3 (the Nack). On 25.10.1871. Regards B Hepplewhite

I believe Ralph is my 4x great grandfather, although he did not marry my 4x great grandmother. His children were born in Whickham in the 1830s/40s; I have the certificate of Jane Grant, and he is the father.

The Ralph Hepplewhite buried in Whickham Churchyard is not the Ralph Hepplewhite who was killed in the Seaton Colliery Disaster 1871. There were 2 of the same name both born about 1816, died 1871/72, one from Whickham and one from Washington. It is the latter that was killed. I am researching the miners who died in that particular disaster and am quite sure about this. I do not actually want the image but thought your correspondents would like to know about my research. Thank you for your website it is excellent.
