Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Francis Henry Manisty lived for a short time in Newburgh Aberdeenshire. He was a member of the ROC during WW2. His wife Mary Augusta Armstrong died in Newburgh 1942 aged 74. She was previously married to Spencer Buckingham St John an author and diplomat who died 1910. I am unsure of how many times Francis was married but he may have been married at least twice. I am using this information to build up a history for the village of Newburgh. Thank you for your help CC.

The Manisty family are my great - grandparents and other relatives. Mary Constance Manisty, my grandmother -b.1877 - d.1955 - married George Booker Hackett (Ireland) - b.1870-d.1955. They immigrated to Canada and are both buried in Penticton, BC, Canada.
